The Sidekick II and III are extremely versitile devices. They can be used as a PDA/Game machine, or as a regular telephone. Sidekick's are built with hidden features as well! The following tips and tricks for the Sidekick can help you use your phone in a way you probably never have.
Tips, Tricks, and Hidden Games!
Tip 1 | Ringtones
The Sidekick's most popular problem would be the ability to add one's own ringtones. The reason it is so hard is because T-Mobile wants to sell you these tones and are too greedy to open up it's doors to third party providers. Tip 2 | Hidden Game
T-Mobile has added a hidden game to the Sidekick II called "Snowbored." Press the Menu/Settings/About Sidekick. Then press Menu + Shift + 8. Click or click & hold the scroll wheel. Holding it down moves the character up and releasing moves him down. The black button restarts the game.
Tip 3 | PDA Machine
While flying, you really can't do much with your Sidekick. Or can you? You have the ability to turn it into a PDA machine, even though you cannot use your phone capabilities. Here are some things you can do with your Sidekick II or III:
Diagnostic Mode: Menu/Settings/System Info then press Menu + Shift + D.
